Sugarplum Catering is part of a rich food service history that began over twenty years ago.The founding of University Food Systems (the name changed to Plum Cafés in 2002) began with a simple idea from founder Richard Mott in 1981. As a student in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, Mott realized that there was an opportunity in the Chicago market to deliver exceptional service at affordable prices.
